For each of the California seasons, different painting techniques were used including spattering, printing with plastic wrap and sponges, and brush painting. Inspired by four patch traditional quilts, there are four views of the same apple tree, but instead of repeating the same view all are different. Since this is a wall hanging, an uneven bottom line was more interesting than making all fit into a square.
