Pigeon Pt. lighthouse along the central coast looked like this before it was modernized. This quilt was hand painted for the landscape and soft-edge appliquéd for the buildings. It has actual shells from California beaches sewn on the
sand, and won a first place at the American Quilter's Society exhibition in 1994.
